The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.

Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house by using a combined gross home earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined home profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
